Job Description:
 
bullet Work collaboratively with the parish staff (lay and ordained) and with the staff of St. Augustine Catholic School

bulletAnswer telephones, forward calls, take messages as needed
 
bulletPrepare the parish’s weekly bulletin, including inserts and inserting into the bulletin
 
bulletPrepare monthly calendars of services and activities
 
bulletHandle Mass Request Book and stipends
 
bulletHandle paperwork for Baptisms and Marriages and Quince Anos celebrations
 
bulletPrepare sacramental certificates
 
bulletEnter sacramental celebrations into the Permanent Record Books
 
bulletPrepare Lector’s readings and Prayer of the Faithful for weekend Masses and for Holy Day Masses
 
bulletOrder flowers for the church as requested
 
bullet Maintain parish census records
 
bulletPost parishioner contributions to computer
 
bulletPrepare donation letters for IRS purposes
 
bulletSend parish census diskette to the envelope company
 
bulletHandle all requests for personal assistance directed to St. Vincent de Paul volunteers
 
bullet Maintain parish census records
 
bulletBe alert to needs in the office and ready to assist as time allows.

Work Hours:  Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM


Part Time Parish Bookkeeper

We require:
 
bullet

A person of faith who is strongly supportive of Catholic education
 

bullet

A person with a pleasant, professional appearance and demeanor
 

bullet

A person who is very well versed in office computers and systems, and can manage well the Logos Accounting System mandated by the Archdiocese
 

bullet

A person who is flexible enough to handle several tasks simultaneously and willing to accept more responsibility when the opportunity presents itself

Job Description:

bulletWork collaboratively with the parish staff (lay and ordained) and with the staff of St. Augustine Catholic School
 
bulletMaintain confidentiality
 
bulletTake responsibility for church and school payrolls
 
bulletPrepare monthly financial reports for Pastor, Principal, Archdiocese
 
bulletPrepare other financial reports as needed and as requested
 
bulletHandle all paperwork for church and school employees (i.e. W-4, medical insurance, taxes, payroll deductions, etc.)
 
bulletPrepare Form W-2 for federal income tax purposes
 
bulletMaintain records of employee’s time (including vacation time, personal days, sick days, etc.)
 
bulletHandle all Accounts Payable and Receivable, insuring that all bills are paid promptly, keeping files on all accounts, entering all data for payroll and accounts payable/receivable into the computer system, etc.
 
bulletMake bank deposits weekly or as needed
 
bulletCollect money weekly from Alms Box and from the votive candle stands in the church
 
bulletAssist Parish Bazaar Committee and other ministry groups with their fundraisers and finance reports
 
bulletBe alert to needs in the offices of the church and school and be ready to assist as time allows.

Work Hours:   Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Flexible hours depending upon the task at hand.


Full Time Director of Faith Formation

We require:

bullet

A person of Catholic faith who is supportive of Catholic education
 

bullet

A person with a pleasant, professional, and welcoming attitude and demeanor
 

bullet

A person who holds, as a minimum, a Bachelor of Arts degree preferably with a concentration in Theology and holds Archdiocesan certification to teach the Catholic faith and Archdiocesan certification as a catechetical leader
 

bullet

A person who is flexible enough to handle several tasks simultaneously and willing to accept more responsibility when the need presents itself.
 

bullet

Fluency (spoken and written) in both English and Spanish is a big plus for this position.

Work responsibilities:

bullet Work collaboratively with the parish staff (lay and ordained) and with the staff of St. Augustine Catholic School
 
bullet Maintain confidentiality
 
bullet Direct and coordinate a comprehensive education and faith formation program for students – Kindergarten through adult
 
bullet Direct and coordinate the necessary office staff personnel for the Office of Continuing Christian Formation for the parish
 
bullet Select curricula for the various programs according to archdiocesan guidelines
bullet Recruit volunteer catechists and aides and provide appropriate education and training according to archdiocesan guidelines
 
bullet In the area of elementary education and faith formation:

Oversee the ministry of the Coordinator of Religious Education;

Oversee age and grade appropriate programs;

Oversee the Rite of Christian Initiation of Children;

Oversee the preparation for the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Eucharist.

bullet In the area of secondary education and faith formation:

Oversee the ministry of a part-time Youth Minister;

Oversee age and grade appropriate programs;

Oversee the Rite of Christian Initiation of Children;

Oversee the preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation and the preparation for the celebration of Quince Anos.

bullet In the area of adult education and faith formation:

Assist the parish’s ordained ministers in the Baptismal Preparation Program;

Assist the parish’s ordained ministers in the Marriage Preparation Program;

Oversee the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults;

Teach Adult Sacramental Preparation classes for those preparing their children for First Reconciliation, First Eucharist, Confirmation;

Develop and oversee an educational program for the adult faithful of the parish;

Assist the Pastor in providing an annual parish mission/retreat in both English and Spanish.

Work Hours:   40 Hour work week with Flexible hours to accommodate teaching schedules and night time meetings.
